Fujian Normal University (Fujian Normal University), located in the famous city in southeastern China - Fuzhou City, Fujian Province, is a university jointly established by the Fujian Provincial People's Government and the Ministry of Education of the People's Republic of China [1], a provincial key comprehensive university, and was selected as a national "2011" Plan", the national "characteristic key discipline project" construction of colleges and universities, the national construction of high-level university public-affiliated postgraduate program, the Ministry of Education's "Excellent Teacher Training Program", the Ministry of Education's Demonstration Base for Studying in China, and one of the three key high-level universities in Fujian Province. , To develop a training base for teaching Chinese as a foreign language in Southeast Asia, a pilot school for the country to recruit Taiwan students alone, to support key Chinese teaching schools in neighboring countries, and to accept Chinese government scholarships for international students in China.

The school headquarters has two campuses, Qishan and Cangshan, covering an area of about 4,000 acres. The College of Overseas Education/College of International Education of Fujian Normal University has a master’s program in Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages (domestic and international admissions), Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages (domestic admissions for teachers), Chinese Language (for international students), Network Engineering (Sino-foreign cooperative education programs), Four undergraduate majors, including Digital Media Technology (Sino-Foreign Cooperation in Running Schools), are the management units for the school to carry out Chinese language education and recruit foreign students and students from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan to study at the school. Relying on the profound cultural heritage and superior teaching and research resources of Fujian Normal University’s century-old institution, and in accordance with the school’s strategic deployment of developing into a high-level university, the college has gradually formed a distinctive international school-running feature.     Our school began to recruit foreign students in 1984. So far, it has enrolled more than 10,000 foreign students from more than 50 countries including the United States, Japan, Indonesia, and the Philippines. In 2003, it initiated the Chinese teaching volunteer program and the joint training program for foreign local Chinese teachers in colleges and universities across the country. In the past 20 years, it has dispatched 19 batches of nearly 1,000 volunteer Chinese language teachers to 26 countries including the Philippines, the United States, Indonesia, and Thailand, and trained them in Southeast Asian countries such as the Philippines, Vietnam, and Indonesia in a 2+2 or 3+1 cooperative school model. It has trained more than 1,000 local Chinese teachers with a bachelor's degree, and trained more than 5,000 foreign Chinese teachers in the long and short term.

     The Sino-Japanese cooperative education project of the college is the first Sino-foreign cooperative education project approved by the Ministry of Education of Fujian Normal University. So far, the project has recommended 222 outstanding graduates from undergraduate colleges to study for a master's degree at Kyoto University of Information Science and Technology, Japan, of which 199 have already obtained a master's degree and another 17 are studying for a master's degree.

The college pays attention to improving the level of teaching management, pays close attention to the construction of teaching staff, and creates a high-quality teaching echelon and management team. Among the existing full-time teachers in the college, 35% of teachers with senior professional titles, 70% of teachers with doctoral degrees, and 97% of teachers have foreign teaching experience.
