Jiangsu University is a comprehensive research university featuring engineering disciplines. It is a university jointly established by the People's Government of Jiangsu Province and the Ministry of Agriculture. The overall strength has always been among the top 100 in China. As early as 1978, the school was designated by the State Council as one of the 88 key universities in the country. In 1981, it became the first batch of universities in the country with the right to grant doctorate and master's degrees. Jiangsu University is ranked among the international authoritative world universities such as QS, THE, ARWU ranking top1000.
