General Information of Jingdezhen Ceramic Institute
Jingdezhen Ceramic Institute is the only multidisciplinary university named after ceramics in the country. It is one of the first batch of 31 independent undergraduate art colleges in the country, and one of the 94 colleges and universities that are eligible to enroll international students on Chinese government scholarships. The university is located in the first batch of national historical and cultural cities - Jingdezhen City, Jiangxi Province. It has Xianghu Campus, Xinchang Campus, China Light Industry Ceramics Research Institute, and Sanbao Ceramics Research Institute. The university gives full play to its unique academic and professional advantages, and consciously acts as a messenger of traditional Chinese culture. It has successively held high-level teacher and student ceramics on behalf of the country in important places such as the Louvre in France, the Asian Museum in Greece, the Grand Palais in France, and the United Nations Headquarters in New York. The exhibition of art works spreads the profound Chinese ceramic culture and ceramic art to all parts of the world. In recent years, the school has comprehensively deepened the mutual learning and mutual acceptance with other parts of the world in the field of ceramic education. As the lead unit, it initiated the establishment of the "Belt and Road" International Ceramic Education Alliance, and jointly created with the Jingdezhen Municipal People's Government, China International Culture Group, and the International Ceramic Art Society. The "Jingdezhen International Ceramic Art Biennale" is a new platform for foreign cultural exchanges, and more than 20 international academic seminars (forums) on ceramic engineering, ceramic art, ceramic culture and ceramic education have been held. The university was successfully approved as a Chinese-foreign cultural exchange training base in the field of intelligent manufacturing by the Ministry of Education, and was selected as the governing unit of the China-Europe Humanities and Arts Education Alliance.
