Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics is located in Nanjing. It is a comprehensive national key university directly under the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of the People's Republic of China. It is a national "world-class discipline construction university", a national "211 Project" and "985 Project Advantage Discipline Innovation Platform" Focus on the construction of colleges and universities.
The school has developed into a research university with the characteristics of aerospace and civil aviation, integrating engineering, science and engineering, and coordinated development of engineering, science, economics, management, and liberal arts. The school now has 18 colleges and 189 scientific research institutions. A new open school-running pattern of "serving aerospace and civil aviation, serving Jiangsu, facing the whole country and facing the world" has been formed. The school also provides various scholarships including the Jiangsu Provincial Government Scholarship and the Nanjing Municipal Government Scholarship for international students to reduce the financial burden of overseas students.

In 2021, there are the following English-instructed majors For International Undergraduates: Electronic & Electrical Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering, International Business & Trade, Mechanical Engineering, Software Engineering & Management, Aircraft Maintenance Engineering. There are foundation programs of Pre-Engineering and Pre-Business course in NUAA. The foundation program of NUAA offers opportunities for students who want to visit China and Nanjing for a semester prior to beginning their undergraduate degree program. It is an alternative way for students who are disadvantaged by their geographic position, family situation, educational profile or other situations to obtain undergraduate degrees.
