General Information of Ningbo University


Ningbo University, located in Ningbo City, is a comprehensive teaching and research university, comprehensive strength ranks of the top 100 universities in China. It has 11 disciplines, such as economics, law, education, literature, history, science, engineering, agriculture, medicine, management, and art, with 25 colleges, 10 university-level research institutions, and 3 directly affiliated hospitals. According to the ESI, six disciplines, including engineering, clinical medicine, chemistry, material science, animal and plant science, and agricultural science, are among the top 1% to the world's academic institutions. It has 7 provincial first-class A disciplines and 6 provincial first-class B disciplines. At present, there are 9 doctoral degree authorization points in first-level disciplines, 3 post-doctoral research mobile stations, 31 master's degree authorization points in first-level disciplines, 25 authorization categories of master's professional degrees, and 60 undergraduate enrollment majors. It has the right to recommend exemption from examination, the qualification to recruit students from Chinese government scholarships, and students from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan. International Exchange and Cooperation


The university vigorously promotes international cooperation in running schools. The school has established cooperative and exchange relations with more than 170 foreign universities and research institutions and has vigorously promoted the internationalization of teachers and courses. There has been a Sino-foreign cooperative college institution (Joint College of fever University, Ningbo University) and 4 Sino-foreign cooperative college projects (Sino-French Clinical Medicine Program, Sino-Australian MBA Project, Sino-American Actuarial Undergraduate Program, and Sino-Canada Humber Project). There is the Confucius Institute of Northern Light, Iceland, and the Confucius Institute of Tamataf University in Madagascar. In recent years, the number of students who go overseas for exchange and study has increased significantly, and the number of international students studying in China ranks first in provincial universities. The university ranked 69th in the "2019 University International Rankings" released by Southwest Jiaotong University, and in the top 100 international students in the 2020 Chinese universities released by the "Soft Science", it ranked 13th in China, ranking top in Zhejiang Province.
