The School of International Education
The School of International Education (Foreign Affairs Office) was founded in 2000 and began to recruit international students in the same year. In June 2011, it was renamed the International Education College (Foreign Affairs Office), which is fully responsible for the education of international students and international cooperation and exchanges. In the same year, the Department of International Cooperation and Exchange of the Ministry of Education sent a letter to approve our school to undertake the training of international students who come to China with Chinese government scholarships. In 2013, with the approval of the Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan Affairs Office of the Ministry of Education, the Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan Office was established to be responsible for formulating cooperation and exchange plans and policies with Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan, promoting the establishment of extensive exchanges and cooperation with universities and educational institutions in Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan, and coordination and management. affairs. In the same year, it was approved as a demonstration base for studying in China in Liaoning Province, and carried out a school-enterprise joint training project with ZTE Software Technology (Shenyang) Co., Ltd. In 2015, the number of international students on campus exceeded 1,000 for the first time. In 2017, two English-taught brand courses were approved by the state to study in China. In 2018, it was awarded the "Liaoning Province Model University for Studying in China". In November 2020, it successfully passed the Ministry of Education's education quality certification for studying in China.
The School of International Education currently has 22 faculty members, including 6 full-time Chinese teachers. There are College Office, International Exchange Office, Teaching Management Office, Student Management Office, Admissions and Career Guidance Office, Apartment Management Office and Chinese Teaching and Research Office.
In recent years, the school attaches great importance to international exchanges and cooperation, and regards it as one of the important measures to promote the rapid development of the school. Through extensive inter-school exchanges, steadily expanding the scale of international students, enriching teacher and student exchange programs, actively introducing foreign intelligence, absorbing advanced school-running concepts and high-quality educational resources, etc., the school's international exchanges and cooperation work have been continuously taken to a new level. At present, there are nearly 1,300 international students from 80 countries, and more than 90% of them are degree students. It has established academic exchanges and scientific research cooperation with more than 170 foreign universities and research institutes, such as Korea Aviation University, Picardy University in France, and Amur National Technical University in Russia. At present, there are 2 Sino-foreign cooperative education projects approved by the Ministry of Education, and more than 20 inter-school joint training projects and long-term and short-term exchange projects with foreign (overseas) friendly cooperative universities. In the past five years, the school has sent more than 600 people to go abroad for scientific research cooperation, academic exchanges, and further training.
